The Competition for the Purchase of Scientific Equipment The main goal of the competition is to raise the quality of scientific research throughout the country, to extend the degree of accessibility of up-to-date and modern scientific equipment for scientific groups, and to increase the level and intensity of scientific activities in Georgia. The competition provides for funding the acquisition of scientific equipment by Scientific-Research Organizations and Higher Educational Institutions. Administration of the Competition for the Purchase of Scientific Equipment is provided by the Georgia National Science Foundation (National Science Foundation hereinafter). The competition is funded through the state budget.
