The projects selected for funding were approved at the 15th and 16th Meetings of the Science Board of Georgia National Science Foundation.

It is already third year, since the Georgia National Science Foundation is successfully implementing the contest "Presidential Grants for Young Scientists". During this period 123 young scientists were funded.

The main aim of this contest is to increase the involvement of young staff in the science and promote the implementation of their scientific programs by means of research grants. The granting program envisages provision of individual grants for supporting the implementation of the scientific programs. The grants for young scientists are funded from the state budget. The contest is fully administered by the Georgia National Science Foundation.
