In the frame of Short-Term Individual Travel Grants Competition in 2010, 19 project proposals were registered for participation in the mentioned call and16 Georgian scientists were financed.

The program first time was established in 2006 and administered by the GNSF. 242 scientists received grants to participate in scientific forums in more than 52 countries worldwide
The Short-term Individual travel Grants Competition facilitates the exchange of scientific information in the sphere of science and technology between scientific communities of Georgia and foreign countries through participation in international programs and conferences.
The main purpose of the Short-term Individual travel Grants program is to activate the scientific potential of Georgia scientists, to attract young scientists and contribute to the holding of leading positions in science.
Competition program provides much needed financial support to Georgian Scientists to participate in international scientific events and for them to keep current in their respective fields of research and work.
The Travel Grants Competition is funded by the State Budget. The administration of the competition is led by the Georgia National Science Foundation.
